Joy Morris and Girls Inc. Summer Campers
Joy Morris, professional acting teacher, spent the morning with our Girls Inc. summer campers. Joy has recently returned to Oak Ridge after teaching in Los Angeles and New York City for the past thirty years. She still conducts seminars in major cities across the U.S. and in Argentina and Spain. While here at Girls Inc., Joy taught our campers how to do visualization exercises, how to connect with their emotions, and how to express themselves with conviction. Erica Heckman, first-time camper, said that the activities were fun. The girls began to understand what actors do to prepare for a stage experience. It really was fun, and the girls had a great time!
