Sports Rules and Regulations

Girls Incorporated® of Oak RidgeSports Program

Girls Incorporated® of Oak Ridge began its team sports program in 1976. At that time, we wanted to give girls the opportunity to play organized sports. We knew it was important to encourage girls to participate in activities that developed leadership ability, teamwork, and self-confidence, but we didn’t know that women’s team sports would become a major career field for women of the 21st century. Team sports certainly provide career opportunities for players, but athletic competition has also spawned careers in the fields of coaching, broadcasting, and team management, to list a few. Now, fast-forward 30 years and look at what girls can do! Girls now play organized sports at the middle school, high school, college and professional levels…wow have times changed! Girls Inc. teaches girls to become Strong, Smart and Bold SM

The Sports Program provides girls the opportunity to participate in a recreational team sports program for all levels of ability. Either on or off the playing field or court, it’s okay to break a sweat, have a ball doing it, and be a Girls Inc. girl!

Below we have listed the three sports programs we are offering at this time. As our sports budget and our facilities increase, so will the sports program.

Volunteers Offer Support!!

We want to thank each and every one of our volunteers for the endless amount of support they give to our organization!  Because of each of you, our progress is possible!
